What is the difference between purchasing natural gas through ProLiance Energy as opposed to Citizens Gas?
ProLiance Energy is a deregulated natural gas marketing company. As a deregulated natural gas marketer, ProLiance Energy actively purchases gas daily based on specific load profiles of each of our customers via the New York Mercantile Exchange. We are not subject to the same regulatory requirements as a local utility and are able to employ various strategies to offer the most cost-effective natural gas supply possible.

What are the criteria for participation in ProLiance ProSelect program?
Citizens Gas customers who consume less than 50,000 therms per meter annually can choose to purchase their natural gas from ProLiance Energy, their hometown energy supplier. Your facility must be a commercial property located in Marion County.

How will the service be the same and how will the service be different with ProLiance Energy?
Citizens Gas will still manage the delivery of your natural gas to your facility, and all maintenance of meters and natural gas lines. ProLiance Energy will provide natural gas purchasing services that are designed to save your business money. ProLiance also offers a triggering option that will allow you to convert a market based price to a fixed price to better match your natural gas costs to your budget.
